Protestation by the elders of Wiśnicz against the land elders of Krakow-Sandomierz for overestimation of the poll tax rate

The elders of Wiśnicz: Habuś Łapczycki and Wulf Szyjowicz are protesting against the land elders of Krakow-Sandomierz: Nachym Samulowicz from Wodzisław, Aszkl Wulfowicz from Tarnów, brothers Józef and Wulf from Opatów, Izrael Księski from Pińczów, Saul, a rabbi from Nowe Miasto Korczyn, Józef, a rabbi from Chęciny and against the scribe general of the Krakow- Sandomierz Jewish self-government, Israel from Opoczno, that they did not take into account the bad condition of the community in Wiśnicz and caused harm to it by accusing the community before the Crown Treasury for not paying the tax; at the Jewish congress in Jarosław easing the tax burden on other communities from Malopolska they raised the tax burden for the community in Wiśnicz, at the same time using the adopted tax for their private affairs instead of paying it to the Crown Treasury. On the news of the congress being convened by the Crown Treasurer to Pińczów (and, consequently, the establishment of a new tariff), they declare that they are prepared to seek compensation through legal proceedings and expect tax relief at the coming congress.
